Dr. Mary K. Scott
Before accepting the Call as the Chief Executive Officer of Orange Lutheran High School, Dr. Mary K. Scott previously served as the Head of School and Chief Executive Officer at Concordia International School in Shanghai, China for four years, overseeing over 1,310 Pre-K through 12th-grade students. Prior to her time in China, Dr. Scott served at Concordia University Irvine for over 30 years in increasingly responsible positions, completing her tenure there as Provost and Executive Vice President.
Dr. Scott has an impressive academic background that includes degrees from Concordia University Chicago, Adelphi University, and Pepperdine University. Moreover, she is a Commissioned Minister of Religion in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
In addition to a passion for physical education, Dr. Scott has been a strong advocate for leadership opportunities for women within the church and educational institutions. She has spoken on this topic across the country.
Dr. Scott and her husband, Dr. Dan Scott, have three daughters, and their youngest, Anna, is a freshman at Orange Lutheran this fall. They are members of Christ Lutheran Church in Costa Mesa.
