The Visual and Media Arts program at Orange Lutheran provides a rich environment for all students to cultivate their creative talents, develop visual literacy, and elevate critical thinking skills. With media-specific facilities and 18 distinct courses, students can engage in drawing, painting, sculpture, design, photography, and more. Two on-campus galleries, Gallery500 and the Nechita Gallery, offer serene exhibit space with multiple shows throughout the school year.
Orange Lutheran students have been recognized for their creativity locally, nationally, and internationally. Recent graduates have continued their study at the nation’s top art colleges including Laguna College of Art & Design, Otis, Parsons, and RISD.

The Arts Pathways (Visual & Media Arts Concentration) inspires creativity and prepares students for undergraduate majors and careers in creative fields. Our vision is to build a community of diverse, creative individuals working in a variety of media, who use their talents and abilities to create, communicate, and help others. All students enrolled in a Visual/Media Arts class are invited to participate in Arts Pathway events throughout the year. Students with a high level of interest in the Visual & Media Arts are encouraged to apply for the Arts Pathways Endorsement, which recognizes strong creative commitment throughout the high school experience.
