As Parent Liaison, I am passionate about helping parents and families connect to our Orange Lutheran community. I am excited to walk alongside you as a parent of an incoming freshman and will help direct you to the right people and information you need as you prepare for and begin the high school experience. There are so many opportunities for you as parents to engage in our community, and I am here to help you get connected. CHALLENGE TESTS

Challenge Tests allow incoming freshmen to “challenge” their placement test assignment and ensure that they are enrolled in courses that are appropriate for their subject matter proficiency level. To schedule a challenge test, please contact Maria Perez at maria.perez@lhsoc.org.

Friday, August 12, 2022: Lancer Kick Off Day (Afternoon)
A great day to prepare for the school year. Students will go through designated stations to prepare for school, get their student ID and final class schedule, and meet classmates as we kick-off the fall semester together. Lancer Kick Off Day will lead into OLu 101.

Friday, August 12, 2022: OLu 101 (Evening)

This new student and parent event is your official start as part of the Lancer community! Parents will receive important information, students will spend time with other new students, and everyone will have a chance to meet and mingle with other new families. The evening will conclude with a family dinner together to celebrate YOU, our new Lancer families, and the start of the school year!

Monday, August 15, 2022: New Student First Day
This orientation day is just for new students (transfers and freshmen) to help them be ready and prepared for high school at OLu! Students will spend time familiarizing themselves with the campus and learning about “Lancer Life” from their Ignite/Engage mentors. This day is considered a school day and is mandatory for all new students.

Tuesday, August 16, 2022: First Day of School
Classes begin for all students (Red Day Schedule).
