16 Lancers declare to play at next level, more expected in the coming weeks

Orange Lutheran High School athletic director Mark Davis has announced that 16 Lancer student-athletes have declared to play at some of America's finest collegiate institutions including: Duke, MIT, Dartmouth, Florida State, Cal, Washington, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, University of San Diego and more. They are:
Track & Field
1. Alyssa Schlom, University of California, Santa Barbara
Soccer
2. Miranda Valdez, New Mexico State University
3. Kristen Bailey-Yoo, Utah Valley University
4. Darian Podmajersky, University of Richmond
5. Corey Tobin, University of California, Irvine
10. Jabari Wilson, Eastern Washington University
11. Grant Gunnison, Massachusetts Institute of Technology
12. Jordan Greenwood, Dartmouth College
13. Elisha Davis, Humboldt State University
14. Jordan Briggs, Georgetown University
15. Preston Kelly, Trinity College (Connecticut)
Since November 2010 and including this group, 60+ Lancer student-athletes have gone on/will go on to compete at the next level in the following sports: acrobatics & tumbling, baseball, basketball, cross country, football, soccer, softball, track & field and volleyball.
Orange Lutheran’s nationally-recognized athletics program is a vital part of the school’s emphasis in pursuing excellence in Christian character, academics, and competition & performance. Through their pursuits, these Orange Lutheran student-athletes have exemplified responsible work habits, time management, teamwork and Christian sportsmanship.
